still up at such an unearthly hour.

nothing to do so post something here.

ok well on thursday went for tkgs and that don't know what japanese girls' school combine concert. and they had a guest soloist playing trumpet. everything so effortless.

itchy.

then after that listen to all the mp3s i have. still can't make up my mind what i like best. classical or jazz. haha.

confused.

but still i worked my lips like no tomorrow.

high.

ok i'm talking nonsense le.

tired.

ok a few quotes from gensomaden saiyuki to close this post.

who do you suppose decided that the birds are free? even if they can fly the skies unless they have a destination and a branch upon which to perch and rest their wings they might even come to resent having those wings. true freedom... true freedom may be having somewhere to return to.
--koumyou sanzo

a past may chase you if you try to escape from it... but once you confront it, it's just an old memory inside you. there's nothing to be afraid of.
-- cho hakkai

Anyone who kills and goes on living has accepted the fact that some day, he'll be killed in return.
-- genjo sanzo

mmm.

savouring the last day of 2005.

enjoy, people.

feels funny.

2006 is tomorrow le.

haha.

weird.

seeing that so many people posted this i shall do the same.

for once call me a copycat.

Black
Your color is black. The color of night. Serene and mysterious, black conjures up images of elegant evening gowns, dashing tuxedos, and gleaming limousines. Traditionally a symbol of success, black also represents power and an uncompromising demand for perfection. Not surprisingly, you tend to set challenging goals for yourself and do whatever it takes to achieve them — your strength of character is second to none. This unfaltering determination, along with your natural elegance, impresses people. But keep in mind that your personality might be intimidating to some. Try to temper your demanding side with a little softness — trust us, it won't kill you. Overall, though, black is the color of professionalism and achievement, which means it's clearly the color for you.

weird results.

seeing that the recent madness over gaming has such adverse effect on me.

i've decided to come blog.

ok totally no link.

because of gaming i've been sleeping later and later the past few nights.

or mornings.

yesterday i slept near to 0400 hours.

today, on the other hand, i did the opposite thing at almost the same time.

sigh.

and my dad just woke up, preparing for work.

soon he'll be down and asking me what the heck am i doing, up so early.

just did alot of thinking.

so beware the following stuff will be quite boring.

ok basically i'm just gonna talk abit about this year. something which i've never done before. go ahead and say, wow.

having different thoughts about coming to vj still. part of me is happy that i made it here and made so many good friends. the atmosphere is great. i love the mass dances and halfdays and full days haha! only thing is that i could be abit closer to my class people though. there's so many wonderful people there but i don't really talk to them; i only talk when there's a need to.

ok nevermind. the unhappy part of me, erm well not exactly unhappy, worried would be a better word. studies! the time where one could slack like those old men who frequent the void decks of hdb flats enjoying themselves playing chess and chatting around has passed. everything and everyone is like moving so damn freaking fast that if you pause to take a breather, you are going to be lagging like a few hundred metres. who knows it may even be up to a kilometre. -shudders- as mentioned in some gp comprehension that i've done, there is not enough leisure nowadays. for somebody with my kind of attitude, i'm living in the wrong time period man. but of course, that is unchangeable. reality still bites. as much as i love to slack, the need to buck up is growing with each passing day. my promos aren't exactly fantastic. and i am totally quite unfamiliar with schoolwork. and 'a's for me is the coming year. not 10 years later. sigh. words can bring me this far. what's left is my own action.

ARGH.

ok when its me, reflections can never be complete without me talking about music! haha.

so this year is quite a major leap for me. joining philwinds and syo. philwinds in march was an eye-opener. james barnes' third symphony was such a wonderful experience. i love the third movement especially. the french horn solo is still imprinted in my heart and it moves me whenever i think about it. another part is the intensity of the first movement. also the joyousness of the fourth. somehow the second movement reminds me of a sort of tyranny. blah. haha. then next was the concert in june. where i got to know danceries more in detail. i've never known it to be so beautiful when i played it with vjcsb on majestia xx. well difference in standard. (no offence or whatsoever to vjcsb, i'm just merely stating facts) also another piece i like is la quintessenza, which i think is a work of genious by johan de meij. everything is just based on 5 notes. oh ya allerseelen! arrangement by friedrich fenell, originally composed by richard strauss. translated as all souls day. not easy to play. its like the piece october. wmc was up after the june concert. where i enjoyed myself thoroughly except for spending 30euros for some stupid show. and finally philwinds goes pops! absolutely spiffing.

ok pardon me for the above paragraph i know i'm not making much sense. but first i need to congratulate you, the reader, for making it this far. there's awfully lots of nonsense here. ok but i wonder if i will still blog in this manner (i mean talking about music i've played) when i pursue music as a career. because i have school everyday and music is like a hobby for now. and as you can see from many other blogs people usually blog about stuff that is not going on as a daily basis. and i wonder will my blog remain. it's a nice thought though, keeping my memories in this form and reading it when i'm like 30-40. i'll definitely go all sentimental. haha. and ok feel abit stupid when i read about some of the stuff i've done.

ok i feel my concentration ebbing away. but there's just one bit more i wanna put down.

i had 2 major gatherings this year. mbs band 10th anniversary and vscb 40th anniversary. for mbs the people whom i was close to didn't go back. vscb pretty ok i see most of my batchmates almost everyday. ok nevermind. ah well going to gatherings gives me a peculiar feeling. the uncertainty of who will you see, and how your old buddies will react to you, is kind of strong. but all the same you feel the sense of familiarity when you step into the school compound and see them. and when you're at the gathering you'll find that some people has disappeared from your life. totally. sad isn't it. and then after the gathering you wonder if there will be another one. the anticipation.

ah i can go on no more. finally. whew long post.

then again i'm probably thinking too much.

i don't think i'll ever do this again.

if you've followed this all the way.

thank you for following my ramblings.

but you've wasted your time here. haha.

enjoy... and cheers!

let's welcome the new year soon.

The rain calls people and makes them disappear--
A magician stronger than anyone.
The two of us had merely been fooling each other;
And didn't everything start in the rain.

abit early.

but merry christmas!

from simeng's blog...

and have nothing to do now...

RULES OF GAME

1. post 5 weird/random stuffs about yourself

2. at the end of the quiz list the names of 5 people who you want next to do this and leave a comment "you are tagged" in their blog and tell them to read your blog for rules.

5 weird/random stuff about me:
1) i'm smaller sized than my younger brother.
2) i can't run long distances. neither am i good at short distances.
3) contrary to the popular belief, i do not love pink. i only find one particular shade of pink nice to look at as it somehow soothes me. haha.
4) i have only got angry (not pissed or anything but really angry and expressed it openly) once so far in my life.
5) contemplated whether dying young or old is better. no matter what life is still short. living longer may not be something good. but then again, there's so much to do in life. does it matter whether you fulfil your dreams? if it does how you want to fulfil it? completing it before you die or by leaving a legacy behind? seeing there's so much to think about, the slackest way out (totally fitting for my personality haha) is to just take everything in stride and be happy with what you have now! cheers, people! the same principle goes for whatever you can't control!

Next 5 people:
i don't know. haha! whoever wants to do then do lo. i can't control anybody to do anyways (refer to 5 lol)

so here's a day wasted at home gaming. dota and bg2.

really should start on physics 'r' soon.

and find out what homework there is for me.

cheers again!

a day of rest...

in between days of hardcore practices...

blah.

thought the playing stuff would tone down after philwinds pops...

but nooooo...

vjcsb practices intensified like mad...

nearing to like the kind of 9 to 5 working hours...

and due to lack of sleep

i sounded very shitty for yesterday's practice.

no strength, no endurance, no musicianship.

i'd be glad once i'll be able to have fun.

and i think my fun will only last like 2 days or so.

because the rest of the holidays have to be dedicated to academics.

what nonsense is this.

sigh.

in the meantime, i'll just have to hang in there.

the same goes for everybody!

how time flies...

soon i'll be done with 'a's...

ahaha, too optimistic a point of view?

perhaps.

anyway the concert will be good!

i hope.

haha.

good luck to everybody! including those having their concert this friday!

gm!
