didn't blog for quite long...

on medication now so i get drowsy often. my flu and phelgm clearing up... finally can play the trumpet properly.

speaking of trumpet, i just received news that it should make its way back latest on 151204... so there's a chance of it returning before nssn. i hope i can play on it for nssn...

*Zzz...

hm today went for vjc band prac.

i'm so tired... firstly the instruments problem. at first was a nice trumpet. then switch with daniel. but the tuning slide stuck.so changed to another trumpet. which has an air leak. so i exhausted myself. stupid me. in the end switched to cornet. slightly better. haiz nothing can beat my own baby la. but now in the states... got to wait. hopefully it comes back before nssn... otherwise damn sianz le. using bach trumpets...

ok i need to get some sleep. tomorrow there's art history. damn.

so damnit tired today.

morning woke up with a damned sore back. then around afternoon i felt my eyes starting to strain. suddenly i kena headache. what the hell. so i abandoned the damned computer and went to practise. the damned headache got worse. in the end slept awhile. and now feels so damnit boring. plus my damned cough and damned blocked nose didn't get better.

damn.

i just realised i don't have space for my aep notes in my bag. so i guess i will be borrowing some of donovan's notes.

historic moment again :)

no more chemistry, 191104. just isn't my thing.

yesterday went to watch the incredibles. watched 2130hours show at lido. it isn't rated 4.5 stars for nothing. so go catch it quick. i don't mind watching it again hehe.

today nothing much. went back vs to listen to the band. not too bad for now la. the set piece for next year's syf is interesting... hm then i borrowed chengxing's trumpet home to practise for vjcsb audition. haiz it got pushed forward. from 26 to 23. mad lo. then too long never practise then my lips feel funny after practising... read this, i posted on trumpetherald:

well i have just resumed practising from a month of exams and i was on the trumpet for near to 3 hours just now. now my lips gives a tingling feeling when they touch each other. is this supposed to be good or bad? i don't know whether this is a factor in the above feel i get after practising, but i keep having double buzzes while practising soft passages.

the reply was:

teongsfd, Don't worry about the tingling, it will go away with more practice. Double buzzes happen when your vocal chords are involved (even if it doesn't feel like that) - that's what I know about it...

haiz. i hate this. whatever.

damn exhausted after practising... feel like sleeping now...

a few historic moments...

aep d&p ended yesterday, 161104. no more d&p and crap prep work. in short i'm free from clutches of aep. have endured it for 4 years. art history isn't going to be any different. whether i study or not doesn't make a difference. its always at the borderline.

no more humanities ever from today, 171104. if the jc i can get into requires me to take the arts stream, off to polytechnic or nafa i go. dead serious about this.

the time to celebrate will come soon.

a pile of books on the table waiting to be burnt, sold or given away.

this week after emath was pretty uneventful.

well emath was ok.

hm and i found a few more career options. firstly is to become a yamaha artist. not too bad. can get subsidized prices for instruments. and can get some custom work done. they'll give advice on further musical career as well. not too shabby. but one of the requirements is a cd recording. which has to be paid with my own money. right...

another option is to go into the line of custom trumpet work. design trumpets and such. contacted one of the trumpetherald-ers for advice. still waiting for the reply though. but if i go into that line, with our small market it will be tough to do that business. moreover the equipment to do so won't be that cheap i guess. and i will need to handle lots of numbers. and physics comes into mind as well. and it has alot of precision required. need to learn tonnes of stuff.

well left to thinking again.

ioq!

hm overview of the past week:

social studies, essays i did until the ranking part, sbqs are like normal. (normal... doesn't it mean bad?) then was english. not too bad. just hoping for a b3 or better. somehow. emath paper 1 was easy. but then lost 2 marks. stupidly. amath i screwed up abit. righ-- wait a minute. abit? ABIT?! ITS ALOT!! freaks. whatever.

this week:

emath paper 2. since emath paper 1 was easy, paper 2 should be tougher i guess. well did 2 papers today. should be ok. then the rest of the week shall be dedicated to aep d&p. yucks. well and finding a trumpet to practise. got 2 options. borrow from vscb. or mbscb. hm and something else as well... *evil smile*

ran for a week.

kena flu.

'cause run in the rain.

final words before 'o's.

tomorrow is ss paper. wish me plenty of luck.

blue juice trumpet valve oil works great! compared to yamaha valve oil. or i've been stingy with the amount used.

trumpet off to the states tomorrow. got to say goodbyes.

yesterday was my trumpet's birthday. giving it a modification. here's the exact details.
- #8 Leadpipe Sleeve - improves standing wave efficiency, dynamics, slotting, etc.
- 2 Top Bell to Leadpipe Braces have been custom fit to improve attacks/slotting
- Custom Bell Crook bracing
- finished in raw brass
silver plate to raw brass. not much difference in sound i suppose. anyway can save money on silver care. raw brass needs almost no cleaning. except internally. externally suppose to look like some vintage model. waha. lame.
overall this is the orchestra modification. not much tampering. so sound would be almost the same. but with differences in the response.

hate 'o's.

won't be back for a long time.

its a 3 week run.

need tonnes of water.

and food.

and music.

and no art.

but no escape.

damn sad.
