oh my oh my...

i just woke up!

wa sian... tonight can forget about sleeping early le.

starting from tomorrow i shall need to attend all lessons... until i think i have pretty much caught up. =p

afterthoughts of wmc 2005.

really learnt alot from najip. my entries are pretty much consistent now thanks to him! (especially that danceries third movement part) then lookit was egging me to continue philwinds. i think i shall. heh. learnt abit by watching robert casteels conduct as well. let's see if i can apply them during practices. oh my feel so bhb or whatever. haha. ok the really fun part was after wmc when we moved to amsterdam, because i got to know the people better. back in kerkrade was pretty much hanging out with my section and with some adults. although amsterdam was like with mostly adults too, most of them were just like a few years older only. so its sort of easier to connect in that way. let's see, zeyu, lookit, yixiang (all 18), victor (22, but claims he's only 12 years old), vanessa, shirin, huiying, wei wei, lip hwa, oliver and shiong (last 3 are the ah peks haha). tonnes of gossips and 'sectionals' (which means playing cards). and i've never been so sick of macs. in amsterdam the cheapest restaurant is macs la! then everybody want to save money... argh~!

ok i think nothing else i wanna put down le. i really don't mind wmc 2009 =)

back to bg2.

yes i know i try catching up with school work.

but do i look like i care for now?

experiencing abit of jet-lag... so shall not post overall stuff about the trip or whatsoever. enjoyed myself, that i did.

in the cyber cafe next to my hotel

surfing at 1 euro per half hour...

the hotel is actually not a hotel.

i don't think it has even 1 star.

not sure if it can make it for even half a star.

but...

final result is 91.75. woohoo~

was really a great performance man. although got some obvious cock ups here and there.

hm amsterdam is not really the greatest place for a holiday. my hotel was almost in the middle of the red light district. but anyway walked the whole day today. went to the concert hall called concertgebouw which sounds like concert ge pao (bun). got this very nice music shop next to it that has a chao ji extensive range of scores. trumpet scores itself got 8 stacks of music le. bought allen vizzutti's 'cascades' and schlossberg's method. then bought some piano duet cd. containing holst's 'planets'. interesting...

ok yes i did get souveniors so people out there expecting one you all can relax. haha

hm last night in amsterdam.

college day drawing closer... wonder if i will be able to tahan...

ok!

i´m back after dinner!

its 2222hours here in kerkrade netherlands.

kerkrade is such a peaceful place. but gets boring. the shopping areas here are quite far from my host family´s residential area and the place where we practise. rodulc school. (i hope i spelled it right) i prefer singapore only in that sense.

the chicken they have here is delicious man... chao ji filling... yumyum

oh ya i forgot to mention that the day light here is very long... only like 2100hours then the sky starts to darken. and at 0500hours the sky brightens up again.

so far the results i know are nyp gold, maris alumni gold, ntu silver.

wmc for philwinds is tomorrow! hope to get at least gold. aiming for with distinction though.

still haven´t got a chance to shop. so people out there expecting soveniors keep your hopes low heh heh.

ok i know this sounds abit gross but i need to shit and bathe now... will be back if i can.

ok anyway vj trumpeters if you see this, i´m confirmed coming back for college day... only if i can make it in time. so wish me luck in getting back on time, and i´ll wish you guys luck for college day! haha.

and so wasbe week ended.

review of concerts i went:

performed with singapore youth wind orchestra, attended concerts of university of florida wind symphony, north rhine - westphalia youth band (germany), senzoku gakuen college of music wind ensemble (japan), frysk fanfare orchestra (the netherlands) & the boston brass, singapore armed forces central band, international youth wind orchestra and of course, tokyo kosei wind orchestra.

wonderful experience.

makes me feel like trying for iywo for wasbe 2007 in ireland. but got ns... haha.

going to band fiesta tomorrow...

netherlands next week...

hm.

during chinese listening comprehension for midyears i heard this passage. which made me think and think and think (blah) and just realised some things. stupid. but too late. (once again blah)

busy busy busy!

kinda busy week... monday tuesday nothing on... then wednesday had some rehearsal with philwinds quintet for somebody's wedding aniversary. then thursday was the actual thing. friday was philwinds prac. then today, was sywo prac. wa... but sywo now showed some worthiness... i'm able to attend the wasbe concerts... for free! wahaha more daggers coming my way i suppose.

hm then i went to ps after prac to get my instrument's first slide aligned. yay no more laggy first slide!

ok.

so busy until i forgot what i want to blog.

oh yea sywo concert tomorrow.

and good luck to vjcsb for band fiesta tomorrow! so sad i can't be with you all, can't get to wear pink tee with my section la! unfair!

better blog while i'm not drowsy.

went to the doctor just now... because of my wonderful nose and throat. $$$ka-ching ka-ching$$$

hm exams are over! i remember doing alot of writing. and the two cases in which i do alot of writing. is either i know my stuff. or i make up stuff. and i only remember doing the latter. hm... not bad though. given the fact i didn't study much. and its the first time i actually studied for everything. except for gp and chinese. anyway, after exams. really feels like holiday le. but fact is, its not! haiz. school resumes this tuesday. ok maybe wednesday since i heard from benjamin we're getting our results back on tuesday. wonder what i'll get.

so i played for the smu musical called 'anything goes' yesterday. was sightreading and playing rubbish. saw benny there. his brother was playing for the orchestra. hm anyway its quite an interesting experience. playing in the orchestra pit. tonight's the final time. and the final attempt to get everything correct ba. haha.
